How verified ownership works
Verified means our team confirmed that you run the product, by a code sent to your product's domain or by manual review. It is not an endorsement.
A Verified badge on a listing means one thing: the AI Launch Zone team confirmed that the person managing the listing runs the product. This guide explains how verification works, and what it does and does not mean.
How to verify
Start from your directory dashboard. There are two ways to confirm ownership:
- A code sent to the product's domain. We send a code to an email address on the product's own website domain. If the product's site lives on its own domain, an address at that same domain receives the code, and you enter it to confirm.
- Manual review. If you cannot receive email on the product's domain, our team reviews the request by hand. We may ask for other evidence that you run the product.
Free webmail addresses cannot confirm ownership this way, because they are not on the product's domain. Use an address your team controls for the long term.
What Verified means
- We confirmed that the person managing the listing runs the product.
- When a verified owner replies to a review, members know the reply comes from the people behind the product.
What Verified does not mean
- It is not an endorsement or a recommendation from AI Launch Zone.
- It is not a guarantee that the tool works as described, is safe, or handles data well.
- It does not change reviews, ratings, upvotes or a tool's position in any community-ranked list.
Judge a verified tool the way you would judge any other: read the reviews, check the maker's terms and test it yourself. Choosing an AI tool safely has a checklist.
The badge and owner tools
The verified-owner badge comes with the Verified Vendor plan, along with owner tools such as editing your listing at any time, analytics, an inquiry inbox and public replies to reviews. See plans for AI makers for everything each plan includes.
Keeping verification accurate
- If a product changes hands, the new owner should verify it again.
- If someone else has verified a listing for a product you run, contact us and we will review it.
- Claiming a product you do not run is impersonation. It leads to removal of the claim and may lead to a ban.
