Privacy basics on AI Launch Zone
What is public on your profile, what stays private, what happens when you visit a tool's site, and how to stay safe when posting.
You can browse the directory, read reviews and read the forums without an account. To review, upvote, post, share deals or submit a tool, you need a free account. Here is what to know about your privacy. For the full details, read the privacy policy and the terms of service.
Creating an account
- Go to create an account.
- Choose the name other members will see, enter your email address, and pick a password you do not use anywhere else.
- Confirm your email address with the link we send you.
What is public
- Your display name, and your profile photo if you add one.
- Anything you add to your public profile.
- Your reviews, forum posts, feed posts, deals and tool submissions, and when you posted them.
What stays private
- Your email address and password.
- Private messages between you and another member.
- Your saved items and notification settings.
Our team can see the account details needed to run the site and investigate abuse, such as your email address and sign-in records.
When you leave for a tool's site
When you follow a link to an AI tool, you leave AI Launch Zone, and the maker's own privacy policy applies to what you do there. If the link is an affiliate link, the maker or an affiliate network may record that you came from us so a sign-up can be credited. We do not receive your payment details from tool makers.
Before you upload files or paste anything sensitive into a tool, read choosing an AI tool safely.
For makers
If you verify a product, we send a code to an email address on the product's own domain to confirm you run it. See how verified ownership works.
Posting safely
- Crop screenshots so they do not show names, email addresses, account details or client information.
- Never post API keys, passwords or access tokens. If you post one by accident, delete the post and change the key right away.
- Remove private details from prompts and code before you share them.
Managing your account
From your account settings you can update your profile, choose which emails you get, change your password, download a copy of your data or delete your account. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
We will never ask for your password by email, text or phone. If you get a message like that, it is not from us.
